Non-Profit Animal CARE

Adopt a Pet

The Humanitarian League supports the adoption of local cats and kittens, some of which were formerly street cats. After having gone through medical care and foster care these darlings are looking for their Fur-ever homes. We are pleased to present their stories both here and our facebook page. Stop by often or visit our Facebook page to learn more about pets available for adoption.

Featured Pets

Annie

Domestic Short Hair
13wk spayed female

Formerly a wild kitten found on the street with her family she has become a fabulous house kitty. She’s got a curious side but when playtime is over she wants a nice place to cuddle. There are still many things she needs to learn about life inside and you might be the perfect family to help her.

Ava

Domestic Short Hair
1yr spayed female

A young mother and her kittens were pulled off the streets of Covington and spent a long time under medical treatment but recovered well. Although Ava was able to reunite with one of her kittens she really found herself when she was the lone cat in the house. She wants the attention all for herself.

Bubba

Domestic Short Hair
3yr neutered male

Kicked out of his house by a family who simply grew tired of him this big guy was abandoned at an animal hospital and is so happy to be in his foster home. He’s an agreeable guy who just wants to be friends with everyone he meets.

Gizmo

Domestic Short Hair – Siamese
18mnth Neutered Male

Gizmo is shy but worth every minute of patience. This gentleman has had an easy time living with his foster home but still startles easily. Some of our street cats haven’t had the chance to ever experience vacuums and dishwashers. Our foster families give cats like Gizmo their first taste of what it’s like to be a pampered pet. It could be you who can help him come out of his shell.

Angry Kitty

Domestic Short Hair
3yr Spayed Female

A lovely girl with a silly name Angry Kitty didn’t like it when other cats approached her and her kittens. Now that she’s grown she has found her place as an indoor princess who likes to sit in the windows and watch the world go by. She doesn’t like to get picked up but she sure likes getting pet. Angry Kitty wants to join you in every room and the moment you sit down she’ll find a spot next to you.

Princess

Domestic Short Hair
18mnth Spayed Female

This wide eyed beauty is a long legged panther. She is curious and playful and wants to learn so much more about what goes on inside a home. She has made some other cat friends in her foster home and could easily adjust to another home with cats as long as her family is patient and understanding. Princess will thrive under the loving care of a fur-ever home.

What We Do

Rescuing Animals

One of our passions is rescuing street cats and kittens who need a safe warm place to call home. Some of these cats have been on the streets for years and are so happy to have a meal every day and someone to give them a little tender loving care.

Foster Care

Once the cats and kittens are pulled from the streets the next stop is learning the ropes of living indoors through the patience and understanding of foster families. We’re always looking for new foster homes.

Spay & Neuter

The cats and kittens visit the vet for a check up. Spaying and Neutering is a high priority to help control over population at one of the sources. We count on donations from cat lovers like you to counter our high medical costs.

Finding A Home

Permanent placement for each and every one of our cats and kittens is our goal. Through this website, and our facebook page, we post information about pets up for adoption. Thanks for spreading the word of the pets in need.
